The thing I had most hoped would happen on the feature-design side is that fediverse systems and ATProto systems would learn from each other and I think this is a good example of that actually taking place.

@amanda Yeah the Threads team has largely viewed interoperability as “stuff from Threads can get out to the Fediverse, but what's outside the walls stays out.

@amanda @eugeneerickim Ah. Yep. Fediverse is very much second class citizen in Threads world. Technically possible, but for all intents and purposes not a real thing.
