It was a while since I had done a simulated engine failure. This morning I did five. In the first two I crashed in the trees ... Well I would have except I went around.
Well worth doing, back in the groove now. I won't let it go so long next time!

We can have a whole separate discussion about FAA allowing multiple simultaneous landing clearances and visual approaches for commercial aircraft and circle to land in 2025 but for the lad on the radio last night I'm struggling to see where he did anything non regulation... ??

Looking at the tracks and listening to the audio I am struggling to find anything the tower controller could have done differently.
It appears the helicopter pilot requested visual separation confirmed he had the crj in sight and was instructed to pass behind it.

I didn't realize the old gang was all here!
The other place has gone to pure shite.
