The little light up storybook villages created by my circuit elective students for Fantasy week turned out really cute. Some designs were still in progress when I snapped the pictures. #FantasyWeek #STEAM #CircuitsGalore

Some first grade lanterns before we added the pipe cleaners for the handles. Students learned about circuitry and then made a light strip to clip inside their lanterns. Their sister country is Japan so we also make these to tie into their studies. #MakerEd #STEAM #EdTech

Our Carnival of the Animals unit has come to a close. Last week, the students had their final showcase sharing their movement/dance sequences they coded for their specific animal from the symphony. I was blown away by their creativity and innovative thinking. docs.google.com/presentation...

One of my goals this year is to connect more of our tech curriculum with music. We are about to start our Finch robot review soon, so I thought about designing a unit that integrates the Carnival of the Animals symphony. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Flashback to the 22-23 school year. Sampling of butterflies my 1st graders made with @3Doodler pens. We turned them into magnets. They did such a great job. #edtech #3Dprinting
