Clothes are a unique part of the inflation experience, I imagine after your first expansion, you wouldn't want to have to tear through denim or leather again. You'd totally swap to stretch, unless you're a masochist

This is exactly how you should age up your characters. They have to look mature to match their age. I've seen so many characters tsar were supposed to be aged up look like they were when that character was like 10. Proportions and alterations is what you need.
I aged them up (negative): same character design but a little taller. Looks exactly the same.
I aged them up (positive): character is visibly older, has adult features and proportions. Style has matured.
