The usual dance is Republicans do things that push boundaries, then Democrats normalize those things as the new boundaries.

I've made a habit of pointing out that the last time the federal minimum wage was increased, it was signed into law by good old War Crimes W, who appears to be too far left for today's Democratic party.

The original post refers to the DCCC blacklist, a supposedly cancelled policy where if a company did (paid) work for a primary challenger (advertising, fliers, etc), DCCC would remove them from their approved vendor list. Hard to find articles, but here's one:

In a victory for progressives, the DCCC ends its consultant blacklist
The controversial policy had prevented the DCCC from using vendors involved in progressive Democratic primary campaigns.

It has not escaped notice that after both murders Walz has alerted the MN natl guard that they may be needed _to maintain order_, which means to allow ICE to continue operating as they have been.

Right, it's already too late for some us.

Not since they assasinated Fred Hampton in 1969. That's just off the top of my head, I'm sure they were plenty busy before that too.

Your carrier has a decent idea where your phone is based on how it communicates with cell towers. Carriers can and do sell this location data. If you don't want to be tracked, don't carry your phone. Applies to a lot of newer cars as well.

Tax 'em like Eisenhower. Top marginal income tax rate of 91%.

Behavior of Democratic leadership makes a lot more sense when I assume that their goal is not to prevent our slide into an authoritarian police state so much as to ensure they get to participate in running it after we get there.

I'm furious at what they've done and not done since Trump's FIRST term.

Happy to campaign on Trump as an existential threat, but not willing to adopt any consequential policy positions.
January 21, 2026 at 11:47 PM
Oof. Yep. Dem's are like:
This is fantastic, everybody is going to vote for us! What will we do when elected? Do? I don't understand the question.
January 21, 2026 at 1:33 AM
This right here. People seem to forget that after episode 1 of this bullshit Democrats had the presidency and majorities in the House and Senate, and used their power to boldly fight fascism by... funding infrastructure and genocide.
January 18, 2026 at 9:48 PM
Does this include violence committed by law enforcement?
January 17, 2026 at 6:26 PM
I hope there will be trials, but I can't point to any examples in recent history of Democrats holding previous administrations accountable. What am I missing?
January 16, 2026 at 11:34 AM
Yep, they were happy to campaign on it as an existential issue, but what did they actually DO when in power? Look forward as opposed to looking backward? Fund infrastructure and genocide? Is that how you fight fascism? No, that's how you extort your voters.
January 16, 2026 at 1:29 AM
This right here, and boy do people get mad when I point it out. Truth hurts, needed something more exciting.
January 10, 2026 at 4:04 AM
Biden / Harris essentially offered voters the Trolley Problem. If you don't pull the lever, genocide from Trump! If you do pull the lever, maybe slightly less genocide from us.
January 10, 2026 at 3:45 AM
I mean, if history is any guide, Dem's will probably tell us to "look forward as opposed to looking backward" and pretend the whole thing never happened.
January 10, 2026 at 3:41 AM
I've been saying this. Dem's were happy to tell us the election was existential, but apparently not existential benough to adopt policy positions that appeal to their voters, who they now blame for losing.

Came here to ask this. Concerned about an always-on internet-connected listening device, but I suppose most just accept this.

Conservatives often talk about morality, but I think it's a mistake to take it literally. It's a tool used to enforce the real goal, a strict social hierarchy. The rules are used to punish those lower in the hierarchy, and broken as an expression of power by those further up in the hierarchy.
November 14, 2025 at 10:05 PM
Right, look who it is, Mr. "Look forward, not back" himself. Prime example of normalizing illegal authoritarian behavior.
November 3, 2025 at 1:37 AM
Man, you know what else weakens democracy? When we "look forward as opposed to looking backwards" when considering the previous president's blatant violations of the law.
