The USA walked away from the negotiations following the expiration of the deal in Oct 2015. A new kind of deal will have to be struck. It's massively naive and simplistic to just say let's redo the 2006 deal. So if he's saying - let's do 'something like 2006'. Great - easy to say - what's your idea?

And by the way, the last time Canada spent less than 1% of GDP on the military was under Harper. Under Trudeau it was again approaching 2%. #cdnpoli

Shall we go to some sort of preferential ballot or proportional representation? Those have some merit to me. What do you think?
