The last image, “The Rabbit Hunt” (1560), is the only Bruegel print known where Bruegel himself created the etching.

The Bosch prints were often made after his death but in his style. Bruegel usually created preparatory drawings and had others in his studio actually make the etchings.

Amanda and I went to see the Bosch and Bruegel print exhibit at the Speed yesterday. I love the little dudes in these things.

Darius Rucker, Mike Mills of R.E.M., and Steve Gorman of the Black Crowes decided to form a band and this is the first stop on their tour! Their first single dropped on Friday so I mostly have no idea what they’re going to play!

Tonight we are honorary millennials. (Had the chance to see them at an in-town music festival, but a half set in the sun while standing the whole time for twice the price vs. a full indoor set where you can sit down is not really a choice at all.)

The two articles on the sides of the page have banal headlines and the text is gibberish, but the other one, somebody in the prop department had a bit of fun. "Taken for Chipmunk, News Worker Shot"!

I watched the well-respected noir film "Force of Evil" last night. At the end of the film the protagonist finds out his brother has been kidnapped by being shown a newspaper. The beginning of the main article is fine but boring. What I found interesting is the other articles on the front page.
