As we begin a new year, I want to thank our community for trusting me to serve. This past year has been about showing up—at meetings, in the community, and in the less visible policy and budget work that supports students, families, and schools. I’m committed to continuing that work.

Good night out with Jennifer at Tony Vargas’s New Year’s Eve-Eve party. Great conversations, lots of dancing, and time spent with people who truly show up for their community—including Mayor John Ewing. I think Tony Vargas and Darin Tompkins would both do a great job.

This week, Jennifer and I donated 16 dozen donuts to Pettrigrew Emergency Shelter and the Stephen Center to help provide a moment of comfort for people navigating difficult circumstances.
