Quantitative interactomics team located at iBV (Nice, France). We study motif-mediated interactions using innovative systems biochemical approaches. Developers of the ProfAff affinity interactomics database.
This is great, so we are not the only one who saw this! But if this is a common observation, I am super puzzled why we find so many completely homogenous gfp localizations in the literature.

We are seeing this in multiple cell lines in confocal or TIRF microscopy. In the attached TIRF image you can see a non transfected cell with no GFP signal.

This is outstanding news for our lab, but maybe it's even more important in our personal lives! As an academic couple, we had to face the infamous #TwoBodyProblem. Not anymore, thanks to the French scientific system! Thank you @cnrs.fr and @inserm.fr for supporting us!#academiclife

If it is only the ghosting, that can also happen in real life due to gel casting artifacts.

(And no, Bogi is not just sitting in the same spot doing experiments for 3 months. Sometimes she takes a short break...)

Also, if you scroll back to my past post from a few months ago, you can notice an incredible transformation in the lab. It is no longer a storage room, but a real lab!
