At #MOP4, which drew to a close yesterday, a number of important steps were established to further efforts to address the illicit tobacco trade.

In the coming years, we will observe the impact of MOP4’s decisions on global #publichealth.

One of the key items for discussion at today’s #FCTCCOP11 is agenda point 4.5, on the implementation of measures to prevent and reduce tobacco consumption, nicotine addiction and exposure to tobacco smoke in light of the tobacco industry’s narrative on “harm reduction”.

Today at #COP11FCTC TCRG members spoke at an engaging side event on lessons learned from WHO FCTC policy implementation.

They joined pannelists from Mexico, Sri Lanka and Ghana who discussed their experiences of and challenges with FCTC policy implementation in their countries.
