If Adelita Grijalva stays close to 60% its worth noting that her support grew during the race despite the emergence of an unexpectedly strong 3rd candidate in Deja Foxx who got unlimited earned media late, not to mention Daniel Hernandez spending over $1,000,000.

That’s a sign of a good campaign.

Kerrin Taylor Robson is really gonna pretend like she hasn't been a lobbyist for decades. Gonna call herself a “business executive.” Media needs to stop buying this farce. She should always be described as a political donor and corporate lobbyist for hire, not some biz exec.

I call BS. Hernandez knew the man filming (Scott Blades) very well. He wasn't a random unknown. Daniel didn't tell him to back up or calm down, he went for the phone & said you can't record. The vid shows Daniel approach from 4 or 5 steps away. Not Blades in their face or charging while filming.

PRO TIP: No matter how mad you get at an old lady asking a question when she’s not supposed to, even if the question is totally out of line, it’s still bad to physically prevent filming of a public event.

It’s double bad as a Congressional candidate.

Triple bad in a “don’t get mad” shirt.

Here is the full post from Scott Blades where he describes the incident in detail. He says he held off sharing thinking Daniel Hernandez who knows him may call to apologize, but no call ever came.
June 25, 2025 at 4:27 AM
While in a “Don’t Get Mad Get Elected shirt” congressional candidate Daniel Hernandez knocked the phone out of the hands of the co-founder of Tucson Interfaith HIV/AIDS Network to prevent video of his sister Alma’s meltdown on a voter that asked Daniel a question after an AZ-7 forum at Bisbee Pride

A thing I learned about AZ legislator payroll: the GOP majority denied my records request saying they don’t retain anything re how much legislators made via perdiem & mileage from even as recently as 2.5 years ago.

Why? To avoid public scrutiny.

FWIW AZ businesses must retain that for 7 years.

We need stricter penalties in AZ for politicians who violate campaign finance laws. A D running for Congress in AZ-7 shows us why.

As a legislator Daniel Hernandez routinely hid his donors w late or never filed reports. But in congressional races he reports on time. Why?

Fed penalties have teeth.

Are we gonna call tomorrow's stock market rally the "Mayes Raise?"

Elon Musk is what happens when “hat on a hat” becomes a person.

(Bill Hader will explain it to you)

Had Dinner at Ocotillo tonight. In the 90 mins we were there the 3 misters aimed at us used approximately 25% of the water allocated to all of AZ from Lake Mead

I get it though, it was a sweltering 72 degrees out. In Phoenix we call that HOT 🔥

May as well use the water while we've got it right?

This is just an all-time great deck by @tjlheureux.bsky.social in his story about GOP Sen Wendy Rogers trying to unfuck herself from this whole thing.

“State Sen. @WendyRogersAZ took credit for something she didn't do. What is that called again?”

AZ legislators don’t have to disclose donors until their reelection year, a loophole ironically preserved by lawmakers who passed a “transparency” law aimed solely at statewide candidates last year.

We're in the dark re who is giving $ to the politicians writing & voting on AZ bills until 4/20/26

All that breathless reporting of low Dem approval w/out context has people confused

1️⃣ in these polls Ds are doing over 15% better with indies than the GOP

2️⃣ a big drain on the dem # comes from dem & indies mad d‘s aren't stopping Trump.

So Dems #s are bad but not due to a swing to MAGA / Trump

All of this while dbacks were caught violating their deal with Maricopa County over concert revenue going to stadium maintenance. They never put a dollar of those profits into the agreed upon joint account.

Friends in the AZ Senate, you need to focus on the details here because red flags abound.
February 26, 2025 at 11:46 PM
If there is any question whether dbacks wrote this amendment for the guy who proposed it, look at what Derrick Hall said weeks ago. At the time, I thought it was weird he assumed they had the right to develop county land by the stadium w/out a bid process. He knew this was coming.
February 26, 2025 at 11:46 PM
In 21 AZ gifted dbacks & pro teams rights to sportsbooks profits. Now, skipping approval by the land owner (county), the state may gift dbacks tax-free hotel profits? Groups like Goldwater & AZ Free would oppose, but the Dbacks owner funds them to prevent this exact type of thing for anyone else.
February 26, 2025 at 11:46 PM
Wild amendment to dbacks stadium bill that just passed. That $250mil the team will “put into the renovation?”That money can instead go into stadium-adjacent businesses the team will control, like a hotel. Team gets profit + pay 0 property tax + the TPT is diverted into stadium reno, not services.

KTR being an unstoppable strong candidate is an insider narrative that isn’t based on any measurable facts. The race will be very challenging don’t get me wrong, but I don’t think she’s a juggernaut.
February 26, 2025 at 11:38 PM
Look, a Resolution Copper lobbyist weighs in. You know that right? Despite most AZ reporters calling Karrin Taylor Robson a business woman she’s actually a paid lobbyist & has been for over 25 years. The corp currently paying her to lobby the legislators she donates big money to is Resolution Copper

Here are the options that Rep Juan Ciscomani promised to consider before ultimately voting to gut Medicaid to give tax cuts to Elon Musk:

Option 1) gut Medicaid and give tax cuts to Elon Musk.

Option 2) gut Medicaid and give tax cuts to Elon Musk.
