Not having a Nordic Combined for women reminds me of the idiotic “health” objections to women’s Biathlon in the early 80’s. Strangely, once the Scandinavians and the Russians had squads, objections were dropped. US women took bronze at the first Women’s World Championships in Chamonix in 1985.
