The spike in small boat crossings isn't an accident. It's an inevitable consequence of Brexit. Before Brexit, the UK had a clear legal pathway, the Dublin Regulation used to send asylum seekers back to the first safe country they reached. When we left the EU, that pathway disappeared.

Stripping away the UK's commitment to the ECHR and replacing it with a purely domestic Bill of Rights, as proposed, exposes a fundamental vulnerability: it makes the protection of human rights entirely contingent on the political will of a parliamentary majority.

The real crises are public service cuts and the soaring cost of living,not migration! These problems were created by policies of those in power and exacerbated by the media. They're shifting blame to the vulnerable to hide their own gain and avoid accountability. We need to see past the distraction.

Anyone advocating to leave the ECHR needs their head examined. Seriously. Ditching the ECHR isn't just misguided; it's a dangerous fantasy. It's peddled by those who misunderstand, or wilfully ignore, the bedrock principles of justice and international cooperation.
