She got the press coverage she was looking for. There was zero chance that stunt was going to be successful and the money that stunt cost could've been put to better use instead of furthering her professional activism.

They knew they were going to be stopped - this was all just optics to give Greta and her followers press coverage since there was zero chance they were going to be successful. She would've been better off putting all the money that stunt cost towards something more meaningful.
