Views are my own.
There is a huge undercurrent of this that has existed in far right / evangelical communities that homeschool.

Had a legislator the other day tell me they wanted to follow the Florida model and it took every bit of restraint not to explode

Lol I have a back to back world war champs sign in my garage.

But those were totally two different generations 😂

I do think they'll start rotating out some of the more awful cabinet members as they approach the midterms
November 30, 2025 at 2:49 AM
Yeah. Would be nice if they had to own fixing some of it vs leaving it for another admin.

But I have near zero hope Kash follows Pete out the door.

I don't think most normal people really comprehend the awfulness.

It is *bad*

The former JAGs are right. But it's not just the decision to give no quarter that is unlawful. As a whole, these strikes are unlawful, and orders to carry out the strikes are unlawful. Following orders is not a defense to such war crimes.

I'll be curious how quickly (and quietly) the next SecDef rolls back some of the dumber shit he is doing

Anything from SASC yet?
November 30, 2025 at 1:58 AM
Tldr of that statement is the HASC is big mad enough about WaPo story to issue a joint release and there's a lot of people who are going to be rung up.

Suspect - beyond what has been reported - our boys lied to them in briefings.

Had a bad experience with rich, entitled TCU fans at the big 12 championship game back in 2022. Made it easy to hate them lol
November 29, 2025 at 4:05 AM
Correct. And I don't think we're even party to the treaty, are we?
November 29, 2025 at 3:59 AM
Utah, BYU, and TCU are easy to hate, but it is no where near the old Big 12 for that.
November 29, 2025 at 3:58 AM
Hopefully talking to Congress.
November 29, 2025 at 3:39 AM
Source for the story, perhaps?
November 29, 2025 at 3:35 AM
No shit, especially when we aren't a party to that particular treaty for this reason 😂
November 29, 2025 at 3:25 AM
In this specific context, I'm more than curious why they're operating under DoD and not CIA authorities...

Except I think they like the headlines.

A lot of this shit developed out of failures from Eagle Claw and Somalia, then 20 years of trying to figure out how to hit international terror leadership anywhere on the globe.

It's past time to rethink it after getting out of Iraq and Afghanistan, and really ask some hard questions.
