His first marriage to Caroline Stoddard ended in a bitter divorce in 1922, with accusations of erratic behavior and heavy drinking on his part. The divorce proceedings included a trial in Milwaukee and a ruling in Caroline's favor, including custody of the children and alimony.

If you stain the sofa and we need to remove and bleach the white slipcovers after your stay, we charge an extra $75 for our cleaner’s time to do so. Please pre-treat any stains you create on the sofa with the stain remover in the laundry closet. If you want to wash them yourself while you are there to avoid the extra cleaning charge, please message us for instructions on how to do this. -Please only use the black wash cloths provided to remove make-up, do not use the white towels for make-up removal or to wipe up spills. There are "work" towels in the laundry closet on top of the washing machine, feel free to get those as dirty and stained as you wish. -No smoking is permitted anywhere on the property or in front of property or backyard. Many of our neighbors are sensitive to cigarette smoke so if you wish to smoke please do so off property. Light cannabis use is ok in the backyard. An Airbnb profile stating that the host works an interior design, the eco-friendly and nontoxic spa like features make her home unique, and she spends way too much time doing AI art.
