Fried food is the great equalizer. I can't really think of a part of the world that doesn't have some sort of fried comfort food

This is something I've actually studied for my job and it fascinates me. There's some obvious ones like you're less likely to like fish if you live in a land locked area but there's also parts of the world that are more predisposed to bitter or chewy flavors and textures.
