Oof. There are SO MANY NIGHTSHADES. That plant family needs to dial it back a bit. Maybe take a wee sabbatical before creating some more plants.

I have what is considered mild asthma, and cigarette smoke for some reason doesn't bother me. But the second someone pulls out a vape it's like my lungs are filled with fiberglass insulation. I don't understand what it is about vapes that is so harsh. I wish people would stop using them in public.

Public smoking ban definitely did kill every single one of the bars where I live.* Buuuut its the middle of nowhere and none of them were remotely pleasant anyway.

*Corporate chain sports bars are doing fine but those are just rowdy restaurants

Singing is such an absolute joy. Makes me feel like I'm flying. I want to fly higher and faster and be able to do loops and dives and turns!

Church of Satan unironically has strict rules against half the shit he's known for lol

Hello yes I am 39 years old and trying to learn how to make my voice do something it's never done before, I'm sure it'll be just fine

Also he was very well known to be distractible, vain, and incredibly stupid. It was a very similar situation - a small handful of sycophants who were very good at pulling the strings and redirecting attention onto him and a cavalcade of idiots (like Stephen Miller)

If it's another "give the cat people guns to solve their problems and also the cat lady can't control her impulses" I'm just gonna walk out and save myself the frustration

We can thank Christopher Tin and Austin Wintory for breaking through the elitist wall depriving video game music of the recognition it deserves. I do wish the Grammies would do something to acknowledge decades of backlog; but WE know about the likes of, say, Darren Korb and Eímear Noone

I would like to demand a refund on this model

This is what makes me so furious. It was simply released to the public, for free, before it was ready. Five years and we would have collectively had a research warp drive. But now we have entire fields being wiped out. Because the rich need instant gratification.

Just makes me think about how many optometrists have thought I was exaggerating / faking my tests because they couldn't see anything physically wrong with my eyes.

THERE WERE SO MANY RED FLAGS FOR SO LONG. My god

Supposedly after I've adjusted to my new glasses I and my eyes have had a chance to "relax" I'll have close to 20/20 vision, minus a minor astigmatism.

Epilepsy is fuckin wild, y'all.

LJ could be as chaotic or peaceful as you wanted because it allowed for incredibly granular privacy filters. Per post, per group, everything. I've never seen another platform do anything quite like that. Actual control over who you were talking to. Was delightful.

I just called an office to update a Rx, and when the nurse asked if she could do anything else for me, I told her to just have a good holiday break when it's her turn, and she started crying. That sucks. A few kind words really can balance out a lot.

My mother died when I was 4. When I was adopted at 7, my records were completely altered and my biological mother's name was scrubbed from everything, including my official "original" birth certificate. I remember her face but there is no record of her being my mother. It's obscene.

The strategy of shaming others into ignoring problems for ones that you think are more important has led to tools like this putting people out of jobs they've had for decades for things to be done worse so business owners to spend less money. And that has been the case since industrialism began.

The problem is fillers. They stretch your skin out. The "Mar-A-Lago face" requires too much filler at one time, done too frequently. So you end up looking like a deflated balloon.
