Watched the very last episode of #TronUprising, which ended on a cliffhanger. Annoyingly it wasn’t renewed for a 2nd season. The visual design is fantastic and Boxleitner’s voice still gives me chills. I am glad he had plenty of story unlike in Legacy (3 lines!!!) and Ares (not even a mention!!🖕🏼).

Lately I find myself playing with the new #affinitystudio app, and this is some #lettering #graphicdesign I came up with. Hope CRT will be added to glitch gallery.

Retro Logo or Ad Design in landscape orientation. - Text reads “CRT In Motion” - Colours are Neon Magentas, Oranges, Yellos, And some purple and blue mixed in as gradients in the In Motion putlines. - CRT letters a in perspective and chunky to make them look 3D and as if lying flat but levitating from the dark surface. Floating underneath are the letter outlines stacked on top of each other. - Effects applied are offset RGB aberrations, gaussian blurs, different blend modes like Add, an HSL filter where I shifted the hues a little, and a CRT image I found on Pinterest was used and set to overlay with a slight blue applied and opacity reduced to 50 percent. - I then merged all visible components to a duplicated single-layer image, set it to screen blend mode, added another gaussian blurs and reduced opacity. This increased to glow effect and vibrancy of neon colours.

Anyhoo, back to art posting. I parked my Dia de los Muertos Skull island piece (I missed it anyways and have a full year to finish). Instead I am already thinking Christmas and my love for #Tron1982 - so hopefully I can turn this into something useful namely a #Tron themed Christmas painting. 1/2
Concept art work in progress: Tron themed environment in perspective looking up; a control tower that will have a neon/circuit/rings like Christmas tree. There will be circuit panels and a Programme with a disk in hero pose with one knee bent. Man, I love and miss the 80s. And when I was a kid I had a mighty crush on Tron. 🥰 I am still mad that with subsequent movies his story got diminished to in the end nothing, not even a mention. He’s the titular character yet Flynn Flynn Flynn. Come on! 😂 rant over.

Btw, we’re with 98% certainty moving to Kuala Lumpur after 6 years in Jakarta. Having been in KLCC in 2010, I am looking forward to looking at this magnificent view again. I thought it would make a nice reference image in case you need a new project 😉
