Like, even taking two minutes to do research on what bullshit this man is on and why is deeply, deeply exhausting.

I think what strikes me is just how good the remake soundtrack is. Even with Yoko Shimomura back to compose, there’s a legacy to the OG soundtrack that would seem impossible to match. And yet somehow the remake matches it.

I think the success of remakes like Delta, Silent Hill 2, etc. proves that remakes are worth the investment, especially if you’re trying to find a place for a dormant franchise again.

Honestly? Start rebooting it. Work off of MGS Delta, make a remake of the MSX Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, and then go from there.
