Yes exactly. Something something paradox of tolerance. A big tent needs to defend the most vulnerable inside that tent. We can make a broad coalition sure but if we let members of that coalition be openly racist for example without pushback then we're endorsing racism.

It's like you said 'Kinda bad waffle chef made a pancake that was actually kinda tasty yesterday' and people take it as "Omg you're defending the waffles that gave me food poisoning!?"

Yeah no I haven't gotten to that piece yet but on seeing the headline I figured that "Hey she said something good this time" doesn't mean "She never said a bad thing".

He's also really good at structuring his work and pacing it well. Something that I think is essential when it comes to lore deep dives especially. He knows when and how to present info out of order for the sake of entertainment AND he gives spoiler warnings and encourages you to check out books.
