Here, the MC is saved and helped by ML, who has a snake body. Although ML shows no aggression towards MC and they initially get along, something happens to cause MC to become hysterically frightened of ML for several chapters.

Certainly, it could be human to be frightened of a large snake person.

Generally, I stay vague about examples of scenes that I don't find enjoyable because in the end it is just a product. If I like it, buy it, otherwise, just pass. This scenario has happened a few times in both BG and BL though, so I can use it as an example.

Finishing a webnovel before bed is the most unsatisfying thing because then I will have to read many many summaries to find a new one, and so many blatantly describe the disinterest the MC has with the love interest. 🫠

If the author only write that the couple is together in the end and very little about how they actually feel about each other, is it easier for someone to feel satisfied because any interpretation they have is correct? 🤔

I actually think it was a bit better than the last few webnovels I've read recently, in terms of the MC being more thoughtful about their feelings. However, 39 chapters with almost 20 characters... Certainly, there's no time to develop the love.

There is an analogous sentiment for BG as well. "I'm so glad a woman can have an adventure and be important!" Yes, but... Again, why is it labeled "romance" then? The love interest is just a prize to show off their success, a handbag that is convenient in the moment. 😔

I wonder if people are purposefully avoiding putting romance into their romance. I've seen such sentiments as, "It's so nice for to see queer characters in a story not revolving around their romance." Yes, yes, I understand. But then, where are the stories that do show this romance? Why this label?
