Somehow fitting that getting through TSA for a work trip was thoroughly unpleasant compared to a week or two ago for PAX.

One person running their hand through my hair while another got angry that I shuddered during a lengthy pat down.

Different security gate compared to last time I suppose.

Oh my, the lead up to wrapping up a vacation can always be bittersweet but this is the first time I can recall it being nearly this heart wrenching.
Even with a chance of meeting back up with these friends next year again. Every little sign leading up to a return to Texas just keeps hitting hard.

After the Pride flag crosswalk in Houston was removed by Whitmire immediately caving to Abbott it was spiffy to see an example of one intact while visiting Philadelphia.

In fairness there have been community efforts in Houston to replace it but it is not quite the same.

Well, after seeing reports of security taking a not insignificant amount of time at IAH I arrived a bit over three hours early for my flight. Turns out security was nice and quick.

Appears the moisturizer I had in my carry-on was a hair too large but my Trek bag received a compliment.

May have taken a 15mi ride on the bicycle in weather that feels like 100F when accounting for humidity; but, the view is rather spiffy and been a relaxing way to ease stress of the week.

Okay friends. Today I am writing a thread that I have been thinking about for a long, long, long time. It's really, really important.

It is also very heavy. Cis people, read this. Look with your eyes open at it. Sit with it. Feel it. Absorb it.

Trans people, take care.

This is about history.

Been ages since taking a day off but the weather cooperated for a nice long walk after lunch at an Irish pub.

Snazzy element of the nearby trail network is that there are still lovely locations to encounter when venturing down unfamiliar paths.
