Those Balboa Park buildings were supposed to be torn down, that was a great use of historical preservation (as opposed to today's NIMBY jokers who abuse the rules to preserve random houses)

Tom, I think you're being far too definitionally mechanistic here (and I say this as someone who reads you regularly and is often in accord) - having done some coursework on fascism, I think Roger Griffin's "palingenetic ultranationalism" definition was the most compelling, and it clearly fits here
