I like to think that Homestuck's troll blood racism plotpoint almost assuredly started existence as an idea in Hussie's head with "what if there was Troll Will Smith who plays the Thresh Prince and sasses up the bluebloods (their blood is literally blue)" and elaborating on that bit spiraled wildly.
