That's a really neat thing about being a human who does art. You can change your mind, try something different for the hell of it, make mistakes and learn you like something new. Even when art is a little frustrating, I'm glad to be doing it with my own hands.

I appreciate the independence, and vending at Ren faires is very rewarding. But realistically, it's a slog. I choose it, and I think it's also ok to admit that it's really hard. (And I'm not even a vendor who camps during festivals...)

I think most people don't realize that many vendors' days are 2-3 hours longer than the open hours for an event. We don't get brakes if we're there alone. We're stuck in one spot so keeping warm is tough if it's cold out. And we already worked long hours all week to make our wares. Plus long drives.
