Just some fan of obscure media from any decade. Also into some retro stuff from mostly the 90's and 2000's.

Time to spill the beans, Grey!

Perfect! I got the snacks to watch it while I'm eating with the homies.

TBH, that "Cave Save" episode from Danger Rangers had the most unexpected surprise I got when I started watching the show, and it was Bobby, who sounds an awful lot like Lor from the Weekenders. Since it's @greydelisle.bsky.social, and I feel she is quite an underrated character Grey's ever voiced.

Post something random, or you’ll have an AWFUL October!

BTW, I forgot to mention this but....Guess who's rewatching the English dub of the Doraemon anime? Ah yes, another series that Disney XD wanted nothing to do with it that they might've lost the rights to air the US dub.

Everyone who has been desperately waiting for it:

I once imagined a meme for Doraemon: Nobita's Earth Symphony where the English dub would have most of the Bang Zoom cast, and then Chapeck would be voiced by Alan Tudyk in his Clayface voice that is superior than the goat from Wish. Truly one of the movies of all time. LMAOO

It's like, "What about the Ryan's World movie?"
"We don't talk about the Ryan's World movie."
September 23, 2025 at 3:40 AM
Not gonna lie, the Doraemon movies have better animation than in the anime, but Steel Troops in particular arguably has some of the best animation along with the films in the 2020's decade like Earth Symphony and Art World Tales.

That being said though, I do admit that it's fun looking at lesser known cartoons and finding fun things that I've never expected because The Weekenders was the one that led me into the "obscure 2000's cartoons" rabbit hole along with LDOTP and Danger Rangers.
September 12, 2025 at 11:20 PM
Hopefully so. Speaking of Danger Rangers, Grey also voiced Bobby in that Cave Save episode who sounded A LOT like Lor that I can't unhear the latter which makes it more hilarious to me ^^

"Dude, you guys heard that Sport has a girlfriend?"
(Guess which other show I'm referencing that Grey Griffin was involved, wink wink.)

Might as well mentioned to how the animation evolved. During production of season 1, most of the characters don't have a lot of shading to them aside for a few scenes here and there. But starting with "Taking Sides" in season 2 production wise, they started to have shading.

Um.....yeah.

Man I wish Disney should've done a retro Disney promotion where they have exclusive items based on The Disney Afternoon and One Saturday Morning. Heck, I have my penguin dressed up as Lor from the Weekenders....sort of.

They're willing to put the 2003 Freaky Friday movie get nostalgia bait by giving it a theatrical sequel and yet this means nothing to them? How??
July 19, 2025 at 3:22 AM
We are. This is Lor-posting until Disney decides to add The Weekenders on Disney Plus.
