Just a gnome that wanders about the upper Midwest. I love my Wife, Hekate, used book stores, coffee shops, the woods, and rivers, especially rivers. I write Haiku, make art, read esoteric books, and ponder. I strive to ever be a Student.
One of our cats I'm pretty sure is a sin eater.

I hope you don't think I was saying you shouldn't promote yourself. You should.
I have a pretty good stable job in Corporate America so I'm not driven by need.
I think it's great you can support yourself with your art

I have started thinking that maybe I don't actually come up with anything. More of, I am a conduit for the art to be born through the lens that is me. Magic, art, poetry, writing, in all of these I just feel like a conduit. It's why I have a hard time self promoting

I would like it to be balanced.
Fangs and Soft fur
Flight and Grubbing in the dirt
Light and Dark
Flame and Void

I completely understand this. It has taken me years to get any where with meditation by just sitting quietly. Like for over 20 years of struggle off and on. I finally cracked it but....

My first question is now, can I sustain this practice? Will it fit into my life. Other than that I wish I knew.

I have to say, I think it's good to ask ourselves these very questions from time to time. Best of luck.

The Greek Magic Papyri is in my opinion her OG Grimorie she is woven throughout it. Mat Auryn is also heavily influenced by her in his first two books. And my pleasure. Best of luck

I highly suggest you Read the Orphic Hymn to her and make an offering. As for books Liminal Rites by Rankin and de'Este is solid, the Orphic Hymns. The Greek Magic Papyri, Jack Grayle has a Grimorie dedicated to her, Hekate Soteria By Johnston She has a huge influence on Jason Miller's stuff

Same basic material different lens. Occasionally I find something inspiring though.

I get this, I look at it as reassessing the basics to make sure there isn't a gap I am unaware of.

Also I think it's great you have found a teacher. I have long since given up on finding one I can work with directly.

I have reached the point in my reading where almost everything I read looks like something I already read reskinned. To me this is a sign that what no longer serves me needs to fall away. I hope you find your way through.
