If its not antisemitism when Columbia let alt right Nazis speak on its campus, but somehow is antisemitism when people peacefully protested genocide of Palestinians on Columbia's campus—then you'll have to stop pretending it was ever actually about antisemitism.

As a professor & a Jew I’m sick to my heart about the attack on Columbia—which is a) escalation of the war on all of higher ed; b) Jew-washing fascism, with the intention of inciting more antisemitism, which in turn will be used as cover for more fascism.

What’s actually antisemitic is ignoring the many Jewish voices who—alongside Palestinians—loudly and unapologetically protested the genocide in Gaza.

It is hard, of course, to get most people to think seriously about their place as beneficiaries imperialism when most of us are struggling daily and currently depend on the cheap food, shoddy clothes, and other spoils of capitalist empire just to survive.
