That said, it's a lot of weight on an already heavy helmet with your counterweight and night vision. This stuff is simply not good for your cervical spine. I only have a helmet as a mounting solution for my night vision, but your mileage may vary.

It depends entirely on your use case, if you feel you need a ballistic helmet or not. Personally, I opt not to.. those are generally intended for protection against shrapnel from things like mortar rounds, grenades, etc.. but often have a 3A rating if you're worried about handgun rounds.

I've spoke to folks going to Myanmar about this. Visual concealment is a lot easier, thermals is when it gets weird. But simple things like carrying an umbrella will at least mask your thermal signature from overhead. No doubt, tunneling is only going to become a more common form of avoidance.

I love Civ Div! Drones weren't permitted in the SOP for this event (many other milsim events are the same). That certainly would change the dynamic though, and it's interesting to game this out. Being autumn, certain areas had more cover than others but there certainly are areas of good concealment.

A gift from elders that I will always cherish, this refreshing book is incredibly difficult to put down and will certainly be picked back up when the mood strikes again.

I'm actually not sure how it was constructed, but it was squishy enough to be flesh-like. Really cool setup tbh, I'd love to learn how to DIY some of these.
