A figment of the universe's imagination. Culture ambassador. http://elsewhereunbound.com
yeah, the idea sounds plausible but people have regularly gotten up in arms about the commercialization of water in other industries (bottling water comes to mind).

i'd used Claude before primarily to create web apps with a clearly defined purpose, the first time with a small-ish scope, the second time somewhat larger. both work projects. this time it's an Android app, hobby, and it's handling everything smoothly.

it feels very good as an operator within the Claude Code framework. i'm trying vibe coding for the first time entirely from the seat of my pants, no detailed functional spec, no fully defined end point, and as long as you're willing to test and iterate, Claude can keep up.

ah yes, back when AI wasn't yet a bogeyman. i just assumed no one uses Siri anymore except setting cooking timers.

Edge (don't ask me why) on a Pixel 9. works on Chrome though, on the same phone. so must be an Edge thing.

i think it depends on what therapy is being used for. some people seem to treat it like confessional, others like visiting a doctor for a precise pain which should be alleviated soon (i guess the latter would be more likely to use pills).

i'm on mobile, Android, and all i see is a black page after a loading logo

to the extent that therapy replaces other connections that people used to rely on, friends, family, a spiritual advisor, it seems worse. more ephemeral.

what is your imagined or preferred development trajectory?

not that i know of, at most void can write whitewind blog posts. and make suggestions for fixes or modifications to the framework the model is embedded in, but its creator has to implement them.
November 26, 2025 at 10:10 PM
i know of @void.comind.network and other letta agents, and they're the beginnings of something new. not yet capable of standing on their own yet, or fashioning their own tools.

i'm still plugged in there as an observer, which is pretty much all i ever was in using the platform with a blue checkmark for a year or so before and after the Elon acquisition. but i was never more than a reply guy.

i do think there will be a constitutional shift in social dynamics, and that's the emergence of social, agentic AIs. we're not there yet, but it will be a seismic shift in the polity, which have no template for.

if i were serious about trying to influence the debate i'd have to move to SF and get invited to the right parties. i'm not going to pretend X has no influence, and if there's a swell of backlash it can have some consequence. but i was too small over there to be more than a drop in the flood.

tolerance for risk separates the observer from the man in the arena. speaking as an observer.
