Crisps! by Shreesh Bhat from Little Dog Games with art by Sai Beppu is a really cool 2-player climbing card game. I especially love the double-sided crisp packet point cards: one packet is one point, two packets is two points. You win when you have three points. Very clever product design. 😃👍

The Grand Trunk Journey by Claude Sirois from @ulible.bsky.social with art by Harald Lieske is great fun, isn't it? I can't believe I haven't played it until now. 😃👍 #boardgames #TrainGames

I love it when publishers put paper belly bands around decks of cards, like here in Battalion: War of the Ancients by Paolo Mori and Francesco Sirocchi from @ospreygames.bsky.social with art by the wonderful @rolandsrevenge.bsky.social. 🙂👍 #boardgames #sustainability

Ayar by @flopiano.bsky.social and @mandelafg.bsky.social from @ospreygames.bsky.social with art by @ianotoole.bsky.social is a real point salad. You can’t do everything and need to keep two score tracks in balance all at the same time. I’m quite enjoying it. 🙂👍 #boardgames

The Druids of Edora by Stefan Feld from Alea is a fun point salad of resource management and dice placement and various other mechanisms. Unfortunately, the English rulebook is awful. I had to revert to the German one to make sense of it all. 😕👍 #boardgame

Can’t Stop by Sid Sackson is always fun, but the Sain-Am Peak edition from Platye makes the game extra special. Staying with the theme of mountain climbing, we decided to follow up with Tranquility: The Ascent by James Emmerson from @luckduckgames.bsky.social. 😃👍 #boardgames

Umami by Don Eskridge from @heidelbaer.de with art by Ikuko Nakai is rather cut throat, isn’t it? It looks so cutesy, but man, it’s brutal. 😲👍 #boardgames

Yay! I got my copy of Night Soil by Jon Moffat from @grailgames.bsky.social with art by Jesse Gillespie. Such a sh*t game! 😂👍 #boardgames

Well, time for something different. I've not played choose-your-own-adventure games for a pretty long time. So it's nice to get a review demo copy of Legion of the Necromancer by James Isaacs and James Gill from Hammerforge Chronicles. It'll be a nice change to the review schedule... 😊👍 #boardgames

Question: why do you read/watch/listen to board game reviews? What are your top 5 (or so) motivations? What do you want from a review? Please answer below and reshare. Thank you. 🙂👍 #boardgames #question (Photo by Marcos Luiz Photograph on Unsplash)

I recently got my review copy of The Druids of Edora by Stefan Feld from Ravensburger with art by Fred Gissubel. I have a feeling, this is my first ever Stefan Feld game, so that's one thing I'll tick off my to-do list. Review in due course... 😀👍 #boardgames #ReviewCopies

Well, well, well... got some lovely little review copies delivered recently: Umami and Frank's Zoo from @heidelbaer.de and the @doomlings.bsky.social expansion packs Shadow Puppets and Castle Glass. 😊👍 #boardgames #ReviewCopies

Wow! What an amazing delivery! Thank you so much to New Mill Games for this great package of trick-taking/shedding games for review. Can't wait to play them - and, of course, review them in due course. I feel very honoured. 😊👍 @dnlnwmn.bsky.social

It’s weird when not one, but two crowdfunding projects arrive on the same day. Dutch Resistance: Orange Shall Overcome! from Liberation Game Design and Habemus Papam from @saltandpeppergames.bsky.social. 😃👍 #boardgames #HistoricalGames

🎲🧵 My goal: reach 25 paid supporters by the end of November, more than double the 10 current supporters. At the £1 Shining Light level, it adds £15/month. If every new supporter joins at £2.50 Dice Master, it's £37.50/month. But why should you care? (Photo by Neil Thomas on Unsplash) 1/5

Played my first game of General Orders: Sengoku Jidai by @djackthompson.bsky.social and @trevormbenjamin.bsky.social with my daughter. She won on the tie breaker. Such a compact, but deep game. Thank you for the reveiw copy, @ospreygames.bsky.social. Review to follow. 😃👍 #ProudDad #boardgames
