I was in a 4 hour call discord vc with my buddies to catch up and this was brought up as well ww
But yea basically this is why i am content doing what i do as a hobby and befriending people who arent necessarily within the pro space.

It's the single most difficult thing that no technical book, no amount of effort or number of hours in the canvas can get you to, frankly. And i admire those who have the talent, emotional bandwidth, and social resource to be consistent about it.
Make friends. Real ones.
Maybe they’ll be your collaborators and maybe they won’t. Maybe your careers will grow together, maybe they won’t. That part doesn’t matter as much as real honest connection.
Develop real friendships in the space with people you can trust.

It's the single most difficult thing that no technical book, no amount of effort or number of hours in the canvas can get you to, frankly. And i admire those who have the talent, emotional bandwidth, and social resource to be consistent about it.
As a paisen in the industry taught in their class, "When you are finally professional, these creative freedoms begin to diminish, so take advantage of your amateur days to deliver what you want, how you want, when you want. Explore what motivates you the most and make it consistent"

Don't write for an audience. Make the comic for you. Feed your brainworms. Make it something you would read and obsess over forever. You'll be working on this thing for a long time, if you lose interest halfway through, then the rest becomes a slog.
