I appreciate this angle even though phones replaced formerly unique activities (news, books, TV, games, etc.). But it also reminded me of this meme. A FT job takes 3/12 months of your year, and if you're lucky, another 4/12 months is sleep, leaving only 5/12 months of your year for your life.

And we know he's one of many that get their marching orders from above, which suggests their coordinated effort to normalize fascism, one incremental step at a time, until the threats to fascism are either eliminated or too terrified to act.

I made this a while ago, but I promote the idea of a tiered economy where meeting society's needs is the focus of obligatory labor, with the next tiers being voluntary and rank choice driven, toward social betterment and reducing the burdens of obligatory labor, then to the circular leisure economy.
