honestly i've 1cced very few in general. i think the only particularly impressive one is hellsinker and i think that took me like 40 hours of gameplay

i think dodonpachi daioujou is like probably one of the best games ever made but i don't think i'll ever have it in me to beat it without absurd credit feeding

the bravely default ones are great because they're completely unreasonable and unfair and the only way to beat them is to find a way to cheat them harder than they can cheat you

yeah it's definitely a lot faster and has more going on. there's some interesting parts of the core combat mechanics but the really fun part to me is party building and job synergies because you can do some really ridiculous things. and optional endgame stuff is hard enough to push you to

bravely default is very much a throwback to early ff yeah. mostly 5 but there's a lot of 1 and 3 in there too. also has maybe my favorite turn based combat of any game
