Planned on a Patreon integration, but the user experience sucks, it's six steps and involves two journeys to and from Patreon for the user, of which we cannot hand-hold them through. Using Stripe on-site instead which takes 0.7% instead of Patreon's effective 20%, so we made subs $4 instead of $5 C:

I did not anticipate being able to figure out all the webdev stuff we need, but here we are, able to integrate subscriptions that will reveal hidden content to subscribers, and we can process all the involved payments and use a trusted processor

Started 2025 hating my job and depressed I wasn't pursuing my potential, solved both by moving to Canada and experimenting with a startup. Met my investment-by-year-end goal, which relied on working our butts off to amass proof of our potential! And friends kept my spirits up, the fuel of it all :]

Space heater temperature sensors are garbage, but I bought a sensor meant for lizard tanks and plugged my heater into it, and now my room stays within a single degree at all times B)

I keep forgetting I don't have medical coverage when I travel to the states since I quit my job, and also because my previous Canadian job of 7 years included travel medical coverage. If I get injured down here it'd be all out of pocket, sooo I just nabbed some 3-day coverage xD

Got Patreon login working on our test site, so only patrons can create forum posts or comments. Now trying to figure out how to have Patreon auto-push our Patreon content to a database, so I can display that content on the test site from that database and not have to post it manually in two places

That includes helping destroy/rebuild a kitchen, repainting eavestroughs and a bathroom, doing a bunch of electrical and plumbing, annnnd selling a fifty year old Corvette. $800 in 2025 vs. like $24,000 in 2024 (USD, incl. utilities)
