during the pandemic i kept a jumping spider that had wandered in for a short time (less than a week), on a whim. i took it on walks on my arm and it would eat mosquitoes off of me. i also got to see it moult before i released it. singlehandedly transformed my arachnophobia into an appreciation

i think what i’m trying to say is that the news cycle is fast, but the progress of ordinary people living their lives is really slow. i try to keep that in mind when i think about what the future will look like. bc the people in power may not be there in a few decades but my loved ones will (hpflly)

i’m sorry, i don’t have much to add (these are all things i’m also grappling with, just complete and utter dread at coming to terms with reality every day). i’m really happy tetra is doing well though :)

ahhh i’m so jealous - i’ve only come across a black raspberry plant once while foraging and they were so delicious - i hope it gives you fruit for a long time :)
