yeah this explainer is wrong on several levels. First of all the first amendment has largely been gutted, SESTA-Fosta (passed almost unanimously) lead to a chilling affect on sexual expression online, the recent online child safety laws passed federally have had a chilling affect for queer speech

There are so many wonderful, intellectually stimulating texts written from so many perspectives with rich vocabularies and a wide range of cultural references worth engaging with in the classroom that very importantly, have periods and respect grammatical convention!

I'd say while these texts are more useful for teaching English language skills they inherently lower the bar for language skills for public school students and at the end of the day the modern book industry is run by people often whiter than your average high school curriculum.

If a student handed in a paper written like this they'd get bad marks from their teacher and correctly so! English language writing like this doesn't facilitate effective communication in the 21st century.

Why are text like these used as instructional material then when they are "bad" english?

What do I mean? Let's look at the first three paragraphs of Edith Wharton's "Age of Innocence". Do you notice something? There's only about 3 periods in these three paragraphs. Let's ignore their literary value, if someone you knew wrote like this would you accept this as "good writing"?

China post-cultural revolution and deng removal of constitutional rights has progressed to a system of consultative democracy where representation and feedback is actively sought out and elevated to the highest government bodies to create policy.

Reading a bit about de-dollarization. One thing that's noteworthy is that trump's attempts at thrwarting it through tariffs might fail because beyond the Ruble and Yuan, a lot of dollar reserves are being replaced by gold.
