Seeing how braindead pf players are in extreme content made me feel much more confident in my skill as a player

Look at my dragoon dude
xiv analysis of a dragoons rotation after using the lance charge self-buff. The rotation primarily involves spamming 2 aoe attacks in a single target fight and failing to use them in the correct order to create a combo, with one instance of spamming the single weakest step of the single target combo, which does not give any combo bonuses and will not activate a damage-over-time (the reason to use this action in proper gameplay). Additionally, in between certain uses of the AOE is useless abilities such as low blow (stun on a boss that's immune) and bloodbath (lifesteal buff that player likely thought was a damage skill due to the icon). Needless to say, this is not at all how you play dragoon, and this player dealt about half the dps of the lowest healer. xiv analysis of a dragoon players weaving window. The "proper" way to use abilities between attacks is to never use more than 2, as more will delay your next attack. Dragoon specifically has certain abilities with long animations, where using more than 1 will delay your next real attack. In between two ineffectual attacks, the dragoon used the following: Geirskogul: damage buff + weak damage Stardiver: long animation attack that requires a single weave to use properly. Moves you close to a target. Starcross: effectively identical to stardiver Jump: weak damage Winged glide: Dash towards a target. This ability deals no damage. The normal delay between two major attacks in optimal play is about 2.5 seconds, but the screenshot shows that this player waited 7.5 seconds between real attacks.
