Exactly, even Devil Summoner, a spin off of the Shin Megami Tensei series, came out in 1995 (a year before Red/Green in 1996) where you literally "summon" devils (characters) to fight along side you against enemies (other characters) this is either incredibly dumb, or won't stick, I hope the latter
