Reminds me of Spellbreaker from Skyrim (I think that's what it was called).
It was a Unique Dwemer shield that had a ward attached to it that dispelled up to a certain level of magic I think.
Haven't played Skyrim in awhile, I don't think I'm making that up. Either way that's a sweet enchantment
