I think it’s something like that. But we’ll see if it continues to work - my brain has this awful habit of expecting something to work once I discover it does, and then it sets up a high bar and freaks out if the thing doesn’t perform as well the next time 🙄

Lol it’s ok, I did tell my mom I was kinda skeptical about it (the claim is that it is based on traditional Chinese acupressure). I think acupressure is good, but it takes a skilled practitioner and it might not solve a problem like insomnia.

She got it anyway, so I’ve tried to put it to use.

Although if you read the reviews on Am*zon, some people do report a shock sensation. I'm not sure if the unit is faulty or I'm holding it wrong/ turning it on too strong.

I don't think it has a calming effect; it does feel like my hand is getting tiny electric shocks.

It doesn't hurt but it makes my brain think 'pain, here!' and I guess the trick is my brain can't be worrying full tilt about 2 things at the same time 🤷

Aw... does the movement attract your cat? I have the sound turned off on the stream and my cats aren't bothered - they do take notice if a video has a cat or kitten meowing loudly though.
