The prevailing argument in favor of using AI in media is that it lowers the cost for local news and under-served communities.

But the core of that argument is fundamentally that we should paper over a loss of institutions with a deeply inferior and unreliable product.

Thanks! Whenever the city gets back to this, Don Mills should be revived. It’s a near perfect spot for LRT. I worked up that way for years. Lots of apartments on DM so decent density always but room to grow. The DMC is a magnet, so a traffic nightmare. And it’s a “natural” extension/connection.
