obviously i don't think this absolves him of anything nor does it resolve years of damage that go far beyond what he talks about in this letter but the fact that he says "Reddit forums" have helped him find comfort does kinda convince me he actually wrote this

At the end of the day, the Black Lives Matter era was about whether people should be killed in the street, and lots of people decided yeah and put those little blue flags on their cars. It spread to everyone because it stopped for no one.
