I have that issue with my two cats, as well. They have a detente, not a friendship. This was the younger one in the foreground muscling in on her older companion. They’re both over 10lbs and are 5 and 10, respectively.

We have two Maine Coon-ish cats. One looks the part, the other looks like she’s made out of spare parts but acts like a Maine Coon. This latter one helps us cook all the time. Very close supervision.
