Modern insulation standards make it work in heating now. We fit Mitsubishi units and they will work with a min COP of 3.2 at a MWT of 45 deg.

Basically heats the house slower, but the houses hold the heat better. Perfect with underfloor, but rads work too, if bigger. Takes ages to dry jeans though!
