RIGHT... i can totally imagine one of the terms of their deal being that alastor is forbidden from speeding up the healing of his wound so that vox could watch as his logo is permanently etched into alastor's skin as a scar 😩

finished the book, i felt like the author's reluctance to lean into the sadist tone of a corruption arc made for a lukewarm story overall but damn some pages went so hard
