Indeed, this is basic async knowledge. And yet they knew they were doing blocking calls to the DB from the async thread pool. They wrote it clearly in the article.

I think it's going to be "Snivel", a robot from the French comic book series "Sillage". It's a friendly all-purpose robot always ready to serve even if sometimes… sniveling. Using a robot 's name makes sense considering what this laptop will be used for 😛

The Moondream VLM (vision language model) is amazing. It's small (2B parameters) and yet accurately detects boars in a dark infrared camera image. Asking for both boar and pig increases accuracy though. #sanglicam

Our new dishwasher has a "heads down display". Since the commands are concealed in the door's edge, the current phase and remaining time are projected on the ground. Geeky!

Petite récolte de figues "à la fraîche" (c'était un peu nuageux ce matin). C'est encore un peu tôt pour les figues blanches, les figues rouges sont pleines de sucre avec la chaleur et le manque d'eau !

The ESP32+relays in its future location, and the old stuff it replaces, which no longer works as we replaced the analog phone line with FTTH a few days ago.
