I think that a lot of people who can't think for themselves view award shows, especially the Emmys and Oscars, as a way to find out what they should watch in order to have Good Taste, but don't really care at all about anything else about it.

The app you're using makes a difference too. I get more matches on OKCupid that I do Tinder. OKC has more normal looking people on it where Tinder is just people who pray at the altar of beauty and are looking for people who do the same.

It's rough for everyone on those things. There's somewhat of a culture of not matching and instead just sending a message directly to whoever you're interested in. I can't really get behind that because I feel like I'm bothering people that way.
