After scouring the web and coming up empty, I developed a small app to visualise expected utility of gambles for my students. Perhaps it's of use to you; you can adapt my code too if you like, it's linked to a public github repo. Please let me know any feedback! simonvbaal.shinyapps.io/utility/

What's more, we find that we can use this attribute info and predict future choices by using the weighted additive model. The correlations prove the concept, but we think building on this is a promising avenue for enhancing the predictive abilities of decision science (3/n)

find common choice tradeoffs. Using >200 theory-driven attributes, we see which attributes are in a choice option (e.g., "this will bring my spouse and me closer" = Marital Fulfilment). Hierarchical clustering (A), PCA (B), and network plots (C) help us see choice structure (2/n)

I’m afraid the cropping is not great 😅 But alongside w Claudia Massaccesi and Alicja Brzozowska, I got the Postdoc Award 2023. I’m honoured and feel lucky to have a supervisor @robertboehm.bsky.social who supports me, and thank my collaborator Manos Konstantinidis who will help me spend research 💰!
